Ramblings of someone with the flu

Yes, that someone who happens to have the flu (or something similar) is me. I started feeling ill yesterday morning and it has continued until now, and it will hopefully go away soon. Anyhow, here is how my week has shaped up since my last post. . .
- Watched The Shining, the Kubrick version not the ABC mini-series, and it was wonderful. Artistically both with color and especially music it was a great movie. The music at times sounded like nerves grating, which is what I imagine someone going insane would feel like. It also had some very interesting themes, and was all around disturbing. As I continue to read It, I can see a few common themes concerning children in both... hmm interesting.
- I talked with a good friend under rather sad circumstances. I need to do a better job of keeping up with those I care about.
- I broke down from my "american idol sucks" boycott and watched the final 13. Although I was not impressed by most of the contestants it was Michael Jackson night, so hearing his songs was great and reminded me of just how much talent he has/had. I did think Adam Lambert did a great job. He has been preforming in the broadway show of Wicked as Fiyero. He is a cool guy and I really like Wicked (the book) so I think I want him to win.
-Community Group on Wednesday was great. I'm very thankful for all of the new friendships we have found at group :)
- I was not able to watch the Office on Thursday because of the SEC tournament having a monopoly on NBC. When I did get to watch the Office, I found it hilarious that Dwight and Tyler have so much in common....
- During this week I also got to have some pretty awesome conversations with my husband about what he is learning in his classes. His systematic class is of most interest to me. I think our best conversations have had to do with that class.
-Finally, being sick. I have watched Seinfeld all day. Slept to The Lord of the Rings (which I don't think is as boring as I have always claimed it was. I think I could be a Hobbit with all the ale, growing your own food, pipes (which I don't smoke but think smell good), and simplicity- they seem like  rather cool people). Now it's time for dinner. .  I hope I feel better soon :)
